The increasing popularity of designer and artisan small batch botanical gins and the resurgence of other spirits has been accompanied by the development of an equally varied range of designer spirit bottles, which we glibly throw away in our recycling bins.

 

It’s too easy to just throw these bottle away and the design inspiration behind the Alfresco Dining Tea Light Holder is to minimally rework the bottle to produce a simple decorative table light which relies on the inherent beauty of the bottle to provide the focal point.

 

The tea light is held in position in the bottle by a simple bent salvaged old spoon, or supported on a turned sustainable or reclaimed timber wooden base.
